Special note: Country clients visiting Melbourne can drop their pets off on the way past and visit and play whilst they are in town. If required we can bring your pet(s)to your accommodation.

Traveling into or out of Melbourne our 30 majestic acres are conveniently located within minutes of the Hume Freeway at Wallan and Whittlesea on the way to popular holiday destinations.

Our extendable drop off and pick up times saves you 2 extra trips and means you don’t have to end your ‘holiday’ early to be back by closing time. Barkingham Palace is the purrfect ‘home away from home’ and is perfect for longer holidays.

Our 76 recently renovated first class kennels accommodate up to 100 dogs average 11.4 times larger than officially required. They are in three separated kennel blocks which adjoin 8 Play Paddocks averaging 610 square meters and 26 Day Yards - Runs averaging 33 square meters. This means different groups can enjoy Play Time or Relax with their new best mates All Day Every Day.

Patiently waiting for dinner to be served Happy dogs don’t bark

If during your visit you pause and to listen to the wild birds calling across the valley or more special still you take a moment under our ancient branches it is likely the only other sound you’ll hear is ‘seeds cracking’ as the native birds above you feed.

The husks floating down through the distilled sunlight will leave you with an indelible feeling and an amazing memory.
That and the sound of ‘no dogs barking’ is a sure sign Barkingham Palace is “A Happy Place for Happy People and Happy Animals”.
For me it’s a potent reminder to return to that place, in my mind, if for only an instant especially when I’m convinced something else is more important.
